Do you hate flossing? Do you feel like every time you go to the dentist and you get a scolding because you are not flossing properly?
Water Floss, Do we really need to?
In a number of studies, the water flosser’s unique ability to remove plaque and reduce gum bleeding and inflammation, has been proven. If you do not water floss, the first thing that happens is the transition from a healthy mouth to having gingivitis. Gingivitis is basically when your gums have some inflammation and are infected. You get gingivitis because you don’t water floss and don’t get the bacteria in the food out of your mouth well enough.
When you don’t water floss, millions of bacteria hang out in between your teeth. Your immune system kicks in and your gums start bleeding when you brush. In order to get rid of your gums bleeding you just need to water floss once in a day and water floss is very simple to use. So if you are not water flossing regularly, here is what happens in a long term. You have bleeding gums, the next thing that happens is your gums basically start to wear or pull back which creates pockets. Then, the bacteria go deeper in your gums.
The issue now is that because it’s deep under the gums, you can’t floss it out with dental floss and your toothbrush can’t reach it. Once the bacteria are deeper under the gums, it’s very very important to use water flosser. Only a water flosser can remove the bacteria from deep under the gums. Using an optimal combination of pressure and pulsation the water flosser removes plaque biofilm both from deep below the gums and between the teeth.
Water floss massages and stimulates gum tissue to promote improved blood circulation, healing and superior oral health.
If you do not use water floss, this process continues, the bacteria will go deep enough that it finds the bone that supports your teeth. If the bacteria find the bone, you now have the transition from gingivitis to periodontal disease. One day your teeth get loose and they eventually fall. This is because the lost bone cannot be put back in its healthier state. In certain places it’s possible to re-grow the bone; this involves very expensive, very painful and complicated procedures at times to put this bone back. The easiest way to prevent this is just to do water flossing for about a minute in a day, every day!
